剧情简介：
Aphysician who helps his clients bring new life into the world isaccused of an ethical breach that"s also criminal in this independentdrama. Dr. Freeman (Colm Feore) is a doctor who runs an upscalefertility clinic in Las Vegas, Nevada. Freeman specializes in helpingwomen who have had trouble getting pregnant conceive, usually throughartificial insemination techniques or transplanting donated eggs intohis patients. Over the course of several weeks, Freeman inseminatesnine women from different walks of life, ranging from middle-aged butnewly married Lottie (Andie MacDowell) and a lesbian whose reproductiveclock is ticking, Elsa (Donna D"Errico) to Frances (Geraldine Chaplin),an aging socialite who needs a son to inherit her husband"s fortune andsassy, outspoken Salome (Jennifer Tilly). Of these nine women, eightbecome pregnant and give birth to healthy children, but when the newmothers compare notes, they discover their children bear a strikingresemblance to one another. When journalist Tallulah (ElizabethMcGovern) looks into their story, they begin to suspect that Freemanused his own sperm to fertilize his patients rather than the donorsamples they selected, a breach of conduct that lands the doctor incourt.
